Mr. Rodenrys, a co-founder of Palisade Bio (formerly Leading BioSciences), brings several decades of executive leadership experience in the healthcare industry to his role as Executive Vice President of Research and Development. Prior to joining the Leading BioSciences team, he was Chief Executive Officer of SafetyMate Corporation, an innovative healthcare company credited with inventing and distributing a portable first responder device enabling effective responses to a range of life-threatening medical emergencies. Mr. Rodenrys has also served as Chief Operating Officer of ForHealth Technologies, a company that developed and marketed the world’s first fully automated robot for filling syringes for intravenous use in hospitals. His experience also includes a tenure as President of Vistant Corporation, a subsidiary of Cardinal Health, where he served on the Cardinal Health CEO’s President’s Council and participated in multiple healthcare acquisitions as a member of the Cardinal Health acquisition team. Prior to Vistant, he was Vice President of Research & Development & Information Technology of Pyxis Corporation, the world’s largest developer of hospital drug systems and a Cardinal Health subsidiary.

Mr. Rodenrys sits on the therapeutics advisory board for the Advancing Innovations to Market (AIM) program at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) and serves as a UCSD innovation advisor. He has also participated in the advisory panels for the CONNECT Springboard Program, the Center for Commercialization of Advanced Technology and the von Liebig Center at UCSD. Mr. Rodenrys earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a Master’s degree in Management Science from the U.S. International University, and an Executive MBA from Boston University.
